Les Biographies du Bande

Victoria  “Gramma” Woodworth (acoustic guitar, vocals) was born in San Francisco, CA,  and has lived most of her life in Denver, except in the 70’s when she was in France and North Carolina making gross errors of judgement. She plays some guitar and sings, but this is only a thinly veiled front for her real agenda, which is to force her opinion on as many people as possible before kicking the proverbial bucket. She more or less achieves this goal through a subtle mix of quirky but accessible song writing, manipulative fits, brainwashing and occasional violence. She is understandably divorced with no children, and resides locally with a bunch of houseplants, shoes, books and artwork.

Bobby “the Cutter” Genser (lead guitar, vocals), a native of Long Island, NY, is both the most threatening individual in the band and also the primary chick magnet because of his many muscles. He can, in one trip, carry a guitar amp, a twelve pack, and two guitars from the car, across the street, into the house and down two flights to the basement without breaking a sweat. He goes to the gym every day although we have no idea what he does there. The guy is freakin Popeye.

Rick “Skippy” Reid (drums, percussion) hails from the Bronx (you know, in New York). He is the most sensitive and tightly wound person in the band, and for this reason is quite fond of beer. One of two members with a real book learnin degree, he is also a gifted carpenter, plumber and electrician, shoots hoop, and is the only bald white guy we’ve ever met from Harlem. Wow!

Steve “Abu” Schneider (bass) will not tell anyone where he is from, but was apparently born somewhere. This sophisticated and debonair world traveler comes to the Heroes via a string of metal bands and out-of-body experiences. His natural curiosity about computers, chord changes and PA junk is endlessly entertaining and shocking. He enjoys the distinction of having a potty mouth bested only by Victoria’s, and so of course is helping with the website.
