We have some shows, we've been working on the new CD, and we have a myspace with some tunes!!
The Heroes began as a
sprout of an idea in the late fall of 2002.
They
have worn a variety of labels, some justified and others completely insane,
including country, roots, pop, alternative country, Americana and rock. Their
sound has been compared at different times to Maria Mckee, Neil Young, Lucinda
Williams, The Old 97’s, Billy Bragg, Steve Earle, EmmyLou Harris, Celine Dion
(just kidding) and others.
They
have been called Patsy Cline in combat boots.
They
have been called originals and poo heads.
The
band consists of Victoria Woodworth on acoustic guitar and vocals, Bobby Genser
on lead guitar and vocals, Rick Reid on drums and percussion and Steve Schneider
on bass.
They
can be described as the brainchild of a loudmouth surrounded by her friends…
As
with most things, the Heroes must be experienced to be understood.
